We've been hacked: Malicious script language was inserted into the reporting database, so I am disabling all links on the report page until I can get the database cleaned up.

Art Tuttle Documents: Art Tuttle was John Garand's "Troubleshooter" while they worked together at Springfield Armory. Ed Knight
sent me several PDFs of Art's original documents, including some neat illustrations and explanations on such subjects as M1 Garand "Ejection
Components", "The Marine Corps Enlightened Hammer". You can view the documents in the Knowledgebase under the listing of January 16 Additions.

Rifles showing up as Guest?!?! If you logged in and your rifle is showing up as submitted by "Guest" and you want to change it, please
email me with the rifle Serial Number and your username and I will fix the record. Not to get too technical, but I goofed and coded the site to
allow the login "session" to expire after a certain timeout period. Going forward, people should check the "Remember Me?" feature on the
login page. The site should hang onto your login credentials and avoid the problem in the future.

Looking for Photos! I am starting a photo section of Garand parts and am looking for representative photos of as many parts as I can find. Ideally, I would
like to show examples of every part and revision throughout production. I need closeups of Drawing Numbers and Heat Lot Codes as well as examples of early and late unmarked parts.
If you have any photos that would be useful, please email them to me at info@garanddata.com. I will give you full credit for the use of your photo on the site.

New Instructions! I've uploaded Instructions on
how to fill out a Data Sheet. These instructions and a Data
Sheet in Word Format were created by the hard work of Rick Cummelin and Bob Seijas. The Word document has clickable fields
with default values for many of the categories. I will be incorporating some of these ideas into our own online Data Sheet soon to make data
capture easier and more uniform. Stay tuned ...

Welcome! This site was created as an attempt to give something back to the Garand collecting community.
You will be able to submit and store Garand data into a database and run reports on that data. My hope is to create a global
knowledgebase of Garand rifle data to help collectors research and understand trends in Garand rifle production.
